Why do we value them?
Much of the essence of true church life is worked out in small discipleship groups. Our Sunday services are designed to be a celebration of what God is doing among us during the week. In small groups, not only do you get worship and hear God's word, but it's a safe place to build friendships and grow, get prayer support and even practice using some of the gifts that God has given you. Visit several and choose the one that's right for you.
Our mission statement declares that one of the reasons we exist is to become passionate followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. As His followers, we are called to make disciples. This makes training and releasing into ministry absolutely essential for the body of people whom God is drawing together. Our call is to enable people to reach their full potential in Christ. Therefore, we are committed to equipping and training the Church to fulfill her mission.
That's why we believe the discipleship groups are at the heart of Five Cities Vineyard Church. It is in these groups that relationships are formed. Relationships are totally dependent upon a desire for intimacy, accountability and commitment. The Gospel is first and foremost about relationships, both with God and with one another.
